We will begin the Divine Mercy Novena on Good Friday, April 19th. We will pray the Novena in the wing of the church following the 3 p.m. Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion. All are welcome to join us. In His revelations to St. Faustina Jesus requested that a Novena be said for the 9 days proceeding Divine Mercy Sunday. The Novena also includes the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. Jesus also told St. Faustina , regarding Divine Mercy Sunday, that on that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the floodgates through which graces flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy. (699) The Diary of St. Faustina. Divine Mercy Sunday will be celebrated here at St. Ann on Sunday, April 28th with a Holy Hour from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Please join us to honor Our Lord’s request that the Sunday after Easter be the Feast of Mercy. Please come and receive extraordinary graces.

Please be aware that parishioners from St. Ann’s, and other local parishes, have received suspicious e-mails and/or calls that claim to be from clergy, church staff members, and volunteers. At St. Ann’s specifically, individuals are receiving e-mails that appear to be from Fr. McHugh requesting that gift cards be purchased for individuals who are sick or otherwise in need. These are fake e-mails in an attempt to scam people out of money. Please note: our parish does not make unsolicited calls or e-mails to request money, the purchase of gifts, or your personal information. Should an individual receive suspicious correspondence of this nature they are advised to not provide any information to the person contacting them or, if possible, to not respond. Civil authorities are aware of this matter. If you are unsure of any correspondence that appears to be from our parish, please call us at 860-673-9858 to verify. Thank you for your vigilance and cooperation.

(Click Title for More Information) For the more than 10 years St. Ann’s Faith Formation families have been involved in charitable efforts for the poor people of Haiti, specifically in the mountainside village of Carrefour. Our connection to these people is through Mary Lou Connors, a parishioner and nurse, who visits Haiti to provide medical assistance twice annually. We are asking for new or GENTLY used CLEAN shoes that are durable and suitable for the rough rocky terrain in Haiti. We encourage you to help your child make a personal connection by learning more about Haiti and how our efforts, as a parish community, can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. Please ask your child to place a note or special gift (a pair of socks, ribbons, barrettes, small toy, etc.) in the toe of the shoe as gesture of care and friendship. (Please do not place candy, gum, crayons, etc. – its melts during shipping to Haiti)
